About me

I am a Swedish born Israeli Messianic Jew living in Jerusalem. Husband, Father, Preacher, Accountant and Student of Economy. I got married when I was 20 and had my first child when I was 22. I can neither play guitar nor nose flute.

We can call me Melchizedek, because I am a servant of the only righteous King  – the King of kings. I was born in 1982 in Sweden, and now live in Israel. Here’s some basic information about me.

1) I love my wife more than any other human being on the face of the earth.
2) I have 4 beautiful children born 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2010.

3) I believe in Yeshua haMashiach, Jesus Christ, as my Lord and saviour and as the promised Messiah of Israel who fulfilled all the promises of the prophets. I believe that we should base all of our believes on the word of God alone, and not on human authorities, human logic, or human emotions. I believe that salvation is a supernatural regeneration of the heart that changes mind and spirit and motivates us to godly living. Godly living is the evidence of our salvation, and not a precondition for it. I believe that my Jewish identity is an important part of my faith and that God expects us to be faithful in keeping his holy Torah, while maintaining our focus on the Messiah and our salvation through faith alone. I avoid the term “Christian” due to its historical and cultural associations with non-jewishness, but I do see myself as a brother in faith to the born-again Christians who are true followers of the Messiah. I believe in the gifts of the spirit, including speaking in tounges, prophecies, etc, but do not accept the prosperity gospel nor the toronto-madness. I get inspiration from preachers like Paul Washer, Voddie Baucham, Leonard Ravenhill, A.W. Tozer, C.H. Spurgeon, etc. I strongly oppose false teachers like Joel Osteen, Benny Hinn, etc. In all cases I believe it is important to judge and test everything we hear to the Word of God.

Work and studies:
4) I work as an accountant, financial director and project manager at a non-profit organization, and I hope to stay here until the day I retire.
5) I study Economy at the Open University of Israel, but study in a slow pace to be able to give time to family. I will get my BA in 2016.

6) My grandfather is from Berlin and escaped to Sweden in 1939. It was Dietrich Bonhoeffer who saved his life. I am a Messianic Jew of 4th generation. I was born in Sweden and came to Israel when I was 13. When I was 18 my family returned to Sweden and I decided to stay.

7) I believe that coffee is God’s gift to humanity
8 ) I delivered my daughter in 2007 at home. Not on purpose. It just went too fast.
9) I can talk like Donald Duck
10) I have hairy legs

  7. Interesting blog! I´m curious, in your opinion, why us Joel Osteen a false teacher?

    • He is teaching prosperity gospel, he is avoiding talking about sin at all costs, and he is more of a secular motivational speaker. All this is in stark contradiction to Jesus

  8. Hi, Melchizedek, I’m glad to meet you on Word Press. I am interested in the image of the two faced Roman god. Is it your image? If not, does it have a copyright? I am interested in using the image. Can you help me?

  9. Hi, sorry for taking so long to answer. And I saw that you’ve already used it.
