The Final Stock Count

February 28, 2011

A little song about what I go through in December every year.

Music: "The final countdown", Europe

We’re down in the basement

It has a weird smell

And maybe we’ll come back

To earth, who can tell?

I guess there is no one to blame

We’re counting boxes (counting boxes)

Will things ever balance out again?

It’s the final stock count

The final stock count

Ohh

The boxes are dusty

My calculator is dead

My head’s getting rusty

I wanna be fed

With so many boxes to go

and things to be found (To be found)

Will the auditor ever accept this?

It’s the final stock count

The final stock count

The final stock count

(The final stock count)

Ohh ho ohh

Another update

February 25, 2011

My life revolves a lot around study and work. These are not very blog-worthy subjects. Work because I don’t really want to reveal that much about my job’s financial ups and downs on a public forum (plus, you’d be bored to death – I’m an accountant!) and studies – well, I’ve shared some, but there’s a limit. It’s not very appealing either. So what’s left? Family, home and congregation. Plus my views on the news and the current events of course.

So when it comes to family there are actually some big news. We’ve decided to home school our kids starting this fall. There are numerous reasons that we have formulated very well in both Hebrew and Swedish, but not in English, and I don’t have the energy to translate anything now. We’ve filed a request with the Israeli ministry of Education, we’ve been interviewed and we’re currently waiting for final approval.

As to congregation I’m preaching next week. I have no idea what to preach about. I’ve been asking God for something written with fire in the sky this past week but no luck… =) Any suggestions? As for faith the good news are still the same good news. Yeshua haMashiach died for us so that we can have life! “Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” (Isaiah 59:1-2), “Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” (Isaiah 53:4-5).

As for news and current events, I must say we are really living in interesting times… I pray for God’s wisdom on our leaders on how to cope with the new situation of our region. Upheavals and changes in country after country around us.

And for a final note. What exactly is Disney teaching our kids? Watch these below videos….

6) My oldest son, 6 years old, got his first grades – top notch on everything. First half of 1st grade.
7) My wife is awesome. We just had another great Friday eve with coffee, wine, games and laughter. Spending fun time together is SO fun, and it’s what makes our marriage so wonderful.
8,) All glory be to God the almighty for ever and ever.
